LEGAL INFORMATION This page contains relevant information from the legal point of view of how to use the downloaded contents of this website on public display in Portugal. For other countries, users must be informed of what rules apply in each country. On this site, all the content downloaded through the purchase of a license for private use, are completely legal, with all the Copyright and Related Rights are paid by JGC Ltd to the SPA and other producers of phonograms. We sense that the market has doubts about the possibility of using, the downloaded contents from this website, in public spaces and how the inspections and audits of IGAC will react. Here is some information about all that is necessary for the full legality of its use. If you want to have a complete document and all information on the legal rules to be followed for the activity of karaoke and public places, you can download the following document: MANUAL OF LEGAL RULES (this manual is in português, for use in Portugal) In the following topics you have the needed information to understand better how to comply with the law.  1 - Copyright The JGC has a contract with the SPA, settling the copyright of this entity with all os sold use licenses here. Under this contract, the license is intended only for private use, that is, by itself. Does not allow public exhibition. For in place of the Copyright downloaded contents of this site, may be used in public spaces, there must be a Public Display Licence issued to the owner of the space in question. This license can be applied to the SPA and has a global character, since, in addition to karaoke, includes other areas such as music, live music, dancing, TV, etc.. To the knowledge of all our customers, here is the link to download the Declaration issued by the SPA and attesting the conformity of our site, and the terms on which licenses are granted and the use of the contents: Download SPA Statement (PDF) You can confirm by the SPA statement, that each content can be downloaded only once to any one physical media: CDR, DVDR, USB keys, PC, are just some examples. What is not allowed is to put the same content in more than one support, unless they are purchased more than one license for each content. Thus the number of times is equal to the number of licenses.  2 - Related Rights Associated with a piece of music, and beyond the Copyright there are other rights related to the producers, performers, etc.. They are called Related Rights, as defined in the Code of Copyright and Related Rights (download PDF). So, you also need a license to host Public Viewing of Related Rights. These licenses are issued by PASSMUSICA. You can check the conditions in www.passmusica.pt.  3 - IGAC The IGAC, Inspecção Geral das Actividades Culturais - General Inspection of Cultural Activities - whose mission is the protection of Copyright and Related Rights, as well as the supervision of artistic performances in nature, among others. Presented to the project www.karaoketosing.com to IGAC, was possible to obtain a declaration of this entity, which for all intents and purposes, we will leave here for download:IGAC Declaration about Karaoketosing(PDF) We strongly advise the content users of this website to print multiple copies of this Declaration (as well as the SPA referred to above), if they are to use the contents in public spaces, in order to surrender to authorities for inspection and supervision, if is the case. The IGAC Declaration is clear that the content downloaded from www.karaoketosing.com are legal and may be used publicly since there are Public Viewing Licenses issued by the holders of rights in this case PASSMÚSICA and SPA, as mentioned above. And the cool part about it on content is carried out. Like IGAC sets, the buyers of use licenses in www.karaoketosing.com must be accompanied by the documents of purchase invoice / receipt and a Certificate of Lawfulness issued from our site, and display of licenses public. However, there are a few rules to follow, which have nothing to do with the contents of karaoke, but with the actual activity of the establishments where they perform karaoke or even of the very karaoke jokey. As stated in the Declaration of IGAC, and if applicable, are: - License of Representation - Registration of the IGAC Promoter All information of these procedures can be seen in www.igac.pt in the menu on the left on Serviços e Áreas de Actuação  4 - Other informations We have noticed that some customers when register on our site do not use a valid ID number. Others place the name of only one name and some incomplete addresses. You are also advised that the correct identification is the responsibility of the customer who registers on our site. In the case of someone who intends to use the content publicly, could have problems because the documents issued by the site bring this information wrong or incomplete, giving rise to non-compliance in case of inspection by the authorities, whereupon the client unable fully demonstrate that it is the buyer himself. We recommend that all who are in this situation to review your data and if necessary, change your registration to get the correct data. For security reasons, the change of name, country and ID number can only be done by us and not by the client in changing data. If so, send us an email using the same e-mail record, indicating the password to enter the site and the personal code  that are in my area (a large sequence of digits), we changed the incorrect data. Another aspect yet and we have noticed is that some clients register with incorrect emails. Here are unable to receive automatic e-mail registration confirmation, sending confirmation of purchase and / or payment, list of contents and Invoice / Receipt. We advise that if you have registered and have never received any email from karaoketosing.com, check your email login and if necessary amending it to a correct email the My Area.
